Bryony Roberts
Deputy Manager
I started working at React in November 2019 after finishing my Psychology degree at Cardiff University. Before this I had worked in events, a supermarket, a printers and as a research assistant at the University. I had no previous experience working in a social care or mental health setting, but was looking for this experience to support my degree and interest in psychology.
I started in the role of Support Worker at Cadoc House (stage 1) and shortly moved over to St John’s (stage 1) where I was based for around 18 months. In this time I completed all medication training, was appointed the medication coordinator for the home and progressed to Senior Support Worker and then Band 2 Senior Support Worker. I also registered for Social Care Wales and started an apprenticeship in Health and Social Care (QCF) which I am currently working through.
Since October 2021 I have been back working at Cadoc House as Deputy Manager and have really been enjoying this. I have valued supporting individuals through the stages of their recovery and also supporting staff to progress in their roles the same way I have. I am really looking forward to the next step in my career, working with a wonderful staff team.
