Support Worker

Our Support Workers are passionate and enthusiastic about providing the best quality care and support for the individuals that is in line with their confidence, skills and aspirations.

Every Support Workers is a key part of the team who develop positive and professional relationships with each individual and help them achieve their desired outcomes. Our Support Workers work closely with the individuals we support to help them improve their daily living skills, physical and emotional well-being and community participation.

The role is dynamic and interesting with no two days being the same.

Some of the day to day roles of a Support Workers include; providing one to one support to the individuals, this could be emotional support, community involvement, aiding at appointments, household support, financial support, shift leading and administrative duties.

Senior Support Worker

This is the next step in leading our team of Support Workers. Our Senior Support Workers are a key part of the team as they support the Managers with the day to day running of the service, in order to support the individuals and Support Workers. They will use their experience and knowledge to lead shifts.

As part of our commitment to learning and development we host Senior Support Worker development days at our head office. Sessions include key working, shift leading, decision making and team management.

Deputy Manager

Our Deputy Managers work closely with their Registered Manager to efficiently oversee the day.
Deputy Managers help to manage all aspects of the staff team and provide leadership to ensure staff understand their day to day responsibilities, activities and have the support and guidance they need to carry out their duties safely and enthusiastically. Deputy Managers play a key role in representing the values of React when dealing with external agencies and leading the service including supervisions and rotas.

Registered Manager

Registered Managers will be responsible for a service within our 4 Stage Recovery Pathway.

Registered Managers at React have a hands-on approach to managing all aspects of the service ensuring the individuals are treated with the dignity, respect and encourage independence. They ensure the efficient running of our services with their strong leadership skills in order to support the team and get the best out of everyone.

They work closely with the clinical team to lead and manage the health, safety and security of both staff and Individuals. Support a positive culture and environment promoting React’s mission and values. They act as a positive role model to staff and are proactive in their partnerships working with referrers, commissioners and partner organisations.

They have a key role in ensuring the service is person-centred, monitoring care plans and ensuring our Individuals can work towards their goals. They collaborate with our clinical team and Individuals to facilitate goals and individual outcomes, verifying that individuals are at the appropriate stage of our 4 stage recovery pathway and working towards the progression through the stages.

Clinical Psychologist

The role of our clinical psychologists is to help individuals with mental health issues, they may be mild or more complex conditions. The role is to work with the individual to help them understand the Psychological aspects of their condition to help them develop some coping strategies. Clinical Psychologists are the first to see the progression with individuals and have a close relationship with the support team in order to ensure that the individuals care plans are being executed in the best way possible. They provide support and advice to the Support Workers to ensure that there is an individual-centred approach at all times. They will also liaise with our Individuals and NHS professionals to show how their therapies and research are improving the lives of individuals.

Our Individuals use psychological therapies to help them to overcome a range of needs.

Typical responsibilities of the job include:

  • Assessing individuals’ behaviour and needs via observation, interviews and psychometric tests
  • Developing, administering and monitoring appropriate treatment therapies and strategies
  • Undertaking research

Assistant Psychologist

Our Assistant Psychologist undertake psychological assessments as part of the clinical team, working under the direct supervision of our Clinical Psychologist to support research, service evaluation and ensuring Individuals have a tailored plan. Assistant Psychologists will plan and deliver evidence based psychological interventions with individuals. They are a key part of the team carrying out Individual Care Reviews to deliver new care plans, risk assessments and review regularly for individuals, ensuring they are being given the best care possible to help them on their journey to independence.

Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Specialists at React are dedicated to optimising individual care by working closely with individuals, other members of the Clinical Team, Managers and the support staff. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience in mental health and will evaluate care plans, review alternatives and work towards providing innovative solutions. They lead the incorporation of ideas into practice to further staff teamwork and efficiency across our different stages of services.

Our Clinical Nurse Specialists have experience in working in Inpatient Forensic Settings and in Community Mental Health services. Having worked to support individuals as they transition from inpatient care to community setting for many years they are very aware of the challenges this can bring to individuals, care teams and commissioners and are able to provide the support and guidance to make this transition successful.

Our quality team strives to improve the service to ensure the care and support individuals receive exceeds regulations, contractual requirements and best practice. They carry out various internal audits to ensure we maintain the high quality of service that is delivered.

Finance Team

The finance team provides the financial management to ensure that we are a sustainable provider in order that we continue to meet the complex needs of the individuals we support. They also look at new and innovative ways to ensure that we remain as cost effective as possible so we provide best value for placing authorities.

Business Development

The department works to ensure we align our business model and provision of services with the requirements of our partners. The team shares ongoing activities and news within the organisation with stakeholders.

IT & Software

We pride ourselves in being a forward-thinking organisation that uses technology and software to enable all of our services to run efficiently and smoothly. The team works alongside all departments to train and assist them in our software and processes.
